Push for old diesels to be scrapped.

Every time I've hit the limit, I've just pushed the button in or placed the nozzle back, given it 5 secs and let go again. They've always authorised it. Rinse and repeat.

    Lift pump about to die?

Cheers. I'm gonna avoid poopart on this one from the sounds of it. Though I always do. Except my stub axle :o

Few strange items in my tool kit?

Why was he carrying them around then? Not for the spare wheel is it?

    Lift pump about to die?

Usually, at what point do these begin to fail? I'm at 110,000 - 130,000 miles atm and cold start up is a little crap and running is a little stuttery until up to temp, especially running on veg. For what its worth, (£20ish) would it be worth replacing it anyway? EDIT: I doubt it has ever been...

    Lift pump about to die?

I've always wondered, would a test for this be to pump it manually a couple of times before start up to see if it solves the problem? though i suppose it depends on which part of the lift pump is gone.

Push for old diesels to be scrapped.

While the "15 largest ships pollute in terms of particles and soot and noxious gases as much as all the cars in the world", I think the RAC and anyone else that wants high emission cars gone can #### 'emselves. As if our little engines are making a dent.

Change clutch now or wait until it gets worse?

300tdi disco I'm going on a ~5000 mile trip in August. Vehicle is sound but i'm a little concerned about the clutch. As it drives right now, there is no real issue. It doesnt slip under normal driving conditions but when setting off it doesnt grab as I would expect. Hill starts are difficult...

    Air compressor in battery compartment

My compressor is under the bonnet and has been for many years. Nothing wrong with it so I wouldn't worry about dust. The only thing about in being in the battery box would be possible over heating? I don't know, it would prob be fine but they do get pretty warm and obviously the battery box is...

    Disco 1 aftermarket wing mirrors

Transit mirrors on a disco would be awesome but I'm sure would look bloody stupid. It's just nice on the transit to be able to see EVERYTHING but on the disco there is a pretty big blind spot. Was thinking about getting some blindpot mirrors. Would like a bit more hight on the disco mirrors...

    Disco 1 aftermarket wing mirrors

to be honest, its more to do with their size. I've just got used to big mirrors with blindspot mirrors. I dont know if i'm just unlucky but the 3 discos Ive had, you cant actually get the mirror to the perfect position. with the mirror clicked in and electrically out, you can still see quite...

    Disco 1 aftermarket wing mirrors

Does anyone know of any decent wing mirrors for the disco? Since spending most of my time driving a transit, I find the mirrors on the disco to be a pile of crap. How land rover let it leave the factory with the left mirror the way it is, I dont know. Too far in or too far out.

Turns out it is art. I'm not kidding. "Flux Projects supports artists in creating innovative temporary public art"

what is the point of this ?

Maybe belonged to some local no-gooder who finally got killed or put in prison... maybe its green peace saying no to V8's.

    Stolen Defender 90 TD5 reg HG51 OCN

You shouldn't mention it doesn't have a tracker on an open forum (is this section open?) Sometimes thieves will park a vehicle up in a public place for a few days to see if it has a tracker, the best hope for recovery is at this stage. Coupling your reg with the information of a lack of tracker...

    Wave Etiquette

Funny bunch. Two land rover owners see each other in the distance.. perhaps 300 yards away. the first 100 yards, you move your hand to the correct position, maybe right hand to 11 o'clock. the next 100 yards, you are determining whether they will wave back or not. (if they have a modest landy)...
