    finished putting the dash back together, repairing broken tabs, putting screws and bolts in ALL the holes. heating working a treat but no horn. Steering wheel off again tomorrow.All good sport

    Changed a blend motor Drivers side ,was about to change passenger side when I noticed a small leak in nearside fan area and decided to pull dash out refurb heater unit and anything else I find whilst I am in there. Oh what fun

    Changed all the switch bulbs on the dash looked at the price of new ones and thought f*** that. went to the model shop and bought " grain of rice " bulbs £1.00 each saved a bloody fortune.

    I would stitch weld a square bar to the plug. the heat will break the seal and you can grip the bar to remove it. 1.6 or 2mm electrode about 45 amp and small tacks allowing to cool between each tack. there will be a very low heat input for each tackweld , so should not cause a fire risk

    Thats the problem I have,I dont trust anyone to do the job properly, so every job ,although I am ok with mechanical `lectric is a mystery and small work is very difficult when your fingers are like sausages and old age stops you bending and crawling to where you need to be.

    No, the barrel where the key goes, I only have one key so I am a little reluctant to send it off If I can manage till summer ,i will go and see Les Edwards in Wales and see about 2 keys and getting my fob repaired.
