P38 2.5 DSE - twin pipe

I noticed a hole in the exhaust today whilst under the car. Has anybody fitted Bearmach exhaust back boxes as I see they have a three year guarantee and seem keenly priced ?

I know SS would be fit and forget but I can't afford that at present. What have people fitted and what has fitted / lasted well ?

Thanks

Michael

I fitted a Britpart because it was cheap with 2yr guarantee. I got a single - are hard to find one without a peashooter pipe on the back.
I am happy with it

Henry had one on his 4.6 too but it fell apart after couple years, says he shoulda coated it with VHT before fitting would have helped it last.
Bearmach are pretty much the same.

Mine has a Bearmach standard mid section and the muffler peeled apart after 5 months, odd really.. ;)

As for backboxes mine are original ;) I gave 'em a whack with a hammer to break the baffles, now its throaty ;)

Stainless is the best pound for pound upgrade in my opinion..

The stainless backbox I have was only available as "the sport". Looks like it is off an evo.

I bought my last p38 gearbox and cats off eurocarparts if I remember correctly.
It was as cheap as the bearmach ones and lasted for 2 years until I laid it up. Still OK now but it's not been used so not done any work.
