There's no sign of the missing rod someone has already been in there the two screws and bolt that hold the lock in place were only hand tight the rod I saw that was missing would attache to 36 (pivot) so I would assume its 35 but will pull the door card off to check as done the lock spring last...

Had this disco for over ten years just noticed I can't unlock the front passenger door with the key but can lock it the rod that goes from the rear of the barrel is missing is this available as a part if so part number?

Thanks for the help everyone now have reversing lights again the problem was connector c277 behind the glove box just a bad connection.

Can confirm power to switch and switch is working have no power to reversing lights on rear or trailer sockets. On the diagram what are c323-3 c105-4 and c277-1 are they connector blocks or just a body work ref points. If they are connector blocks as there is a feed to the rear view mirror would...

So it's taken me a year to get round to fixing this glad to report switch is ok I have voltage on the loom to the switch but can't get them to come on with the connector bridged.both lights work for months then pack in for a while then start working again.any ideas where to look now?

I would say the window regulator has failed or come away from the glass best to pop the door card off and have a look.

Just read in Haynes the pivot bolt and front retaining nut to be torqued up with wheels refitted and on the ground can't see any difference doing it on axle stands (held at normal road height) is this just a safety thing or am I missing something?

Ok thanks I'll go for one of those kits would suit my needs best. took it to my local tyre fitting garage to get it pressed in and they used flat plates top and bottom so the inner sleeve is now crushed,distorted and completely f**ked F:mad::mad:king annoyed from Braintree.

I need to change a lot of the suspension bushes so i need a press would a 6 ton be up to the job ? I would go for bigger but with lack of money on a very tight budget.

Cheers all done took the frame and glass out and used masking tape to label rods and photo before removing lock now works like new.

Got to change the spring inside the lock Haynes says to remove regulator frame and glass the fitting instructions says only to lift the frame about 12 inches can it be done like this? 97 disco

Going to buy an engine hoist in the near future for a car but want the option of lifting a D1 engine i don't know if the one's I'm looking at are going to lift the engine high enough on a d1 so what's out there that suitable for a D1.

Does no 4 injector have a wire going to it this injector tells the injectors to fire engine check light?.

Well I personally think someone pulled it out for whatever reason looking to replace this can only come up with awr2024 for bonded not heated screen mines heated don't know what the difference is maybe glass is thicker?.
