Other what have u done on ur disco today

Replaced the passenger side door lock as the central locking on that side was goosed. £20 for a good used unit and surprisingly easy to replace. I removed the entire window frame as it was rusty where it met the door and rubbed it down and repainted it before refitting. Not perfect as the metal...

Disco 2 Silly little mod with Nanocom :)

Probably less likely to draw attention than holding it in your left hand and trying to poke the buttons with your nose etc - but I do take your point :) However it will be set to display the instruments prior to driving so it's an observational thing rather than trying to control anything while...

If you get a chance, can you post a photo of your wastegate actuator? Mike did mine a week or so ago and we had to wind back the actuator as a PO had boosted the pressure and removed the modulator - so I want to get it back to standard and then adjust slowly with the Nanocom to get the optimal...

Bought a great new tool today - 30 mins later...

Getting done this week - I checked inside and 3 sides of the chassis are very solid - just the bottom that rotted - so still has plenty of strength left but as I said, getting done this week. I was tempted just to go straight for a galvanised rear chassis but at £360 + £400 to have installed it...

Disco 2 Silly little mod with Nanocom :)

Well I now have the correct label with the diff lock symbol courtesy of Dave Ashcroft at http://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk :) I also saw that someone is selling a pair of folding mirrors on the FB group ...... nah, I don't need them.....I really don't.....

Other what have u done on ur disco today

Installed a holder for the nanocom and a CB radio - got the SWR down to 1:1 with a mag mount aerial and then sat there for 2 hours trying to find someone using it (yes it was set to UK 40FM) and never heard a thing - so now I'm worried that it's not actually working!!! What happened to all the...

    Disco 2 Nanocom - Low/High flag reversed?

Do you have the upgrade file by any chance as I cannot register and download as the unit was registered to someone else - I have emailed them to change it but that will take time. My kernal is 1.09 so quite out of date I think :) My email is stevecongraveATgmail.com Thanks if that's possible!

    Disco 2 Door lock

I just paid £20 shipped for a used door actuator - looks like an hour or so work to fix so as soon as we get a sunny day .......

    Disco 2 Nanocom - Low/High flag reversed?

When using the Nanocom on my Disco 2, when I check the inputs on the ECU it shows the Low/High transfer box as Low when it's in High and High when it's in Low. Anyone else noticed this?

Disco 2 Silly little mod with Nanocom :)

Ahhh, Off Road Mode - gotcha Unfortunately they haven't worked out how to make springs from memory metal yet - so the road height is fixed on mine ;) :P

Disco 2 Silly little mod with Nanocom :)

What's an ORM button?? Why don't I have one :( I'll check on the updates - probably not as I just bought it from someone who was computer challenged :)

Disco 2 Silly little mod with Nanocom :)

I don't know if this will be useful at all but I have just installed my nanocom into the D2 so that I can monitor live data and I was trying to find somewhere to install it. As you can see I found a way to do it quite effectively using an old mobile phone holder that opened wide enough to hold...

Disco 2 TD5 Oil pump bolt

Thanks - I'm under her today doing some welding on the rear chassis (first time arc welding for 36 years gulp!) so I'll see if I can soak and crack the bolts - if I can then I guess I'll drop the sump - if not then I'll go for the crossed fingers instead :) Not sure about the chain guides - can...
