    High mileage P38 2.5 Diesel?

If its done 200k there's no reason it won't do 200k more. If its cheap enough its definitely worth the gamble, but be prepared to spend on some key maintenance items.

    Freelander 1 V6 Auto - 69,000 miles - Good order

Probably due to the amount of work needed to get it back upto a working standard. It’s effectively a project.

1997 P38 glides through MOTs for 7 years and SUDDENLY....

But the problem is still there. Sounds like a poor diagnosis on the dealers part too. It’s good that it worked, but it’s not something I could do myself.

1997 P38 glides through MOTs for 7 years and SUDDENLY....

Please don’t put any stop leak or any type of sealant into the cooling system. It barely copes as it is, adding gunk into the system is only masking the problem and not fixing it.

1997 P38 glides through MOTs for 7 years and SUDDENLY....

P38’s are funny cars to deal with. Unfortunately it’s going to be a case of checking the obvious before delving deeper. Not many places will touch them either as they can be problematic if you don’t know them well enough.

1997 P38 glides through MOTs for 7 years and SUDDENLY....

I’d give you more than £100 just so I can put it back on the road. More diagnosis needed I’m afraid though. Fuel leaks can be sorted, injector is probably just leak off pipes passing. Overheating could either be head gasket, water pump failure (plastic impeller notorious for failing), failing...

    P38A Heater matrix connections

Does any modifications need to be made to accept the audi heater matrix? I'm yet to do my o rings but seeing the conversion makes more sense

    Gearbox filling plug rounded

Have you got an oversized torx or allen bit? Maybe access to a welder to tack a nut on?

    Gearbox filling plug rounded

Never the case with LR. It always finds a way out lol.

Irwin sockets from halfords will get it off

P38A What would you change on re commission?

Avoid taking the bumper off unless absolutely necessary. The brackets in the end of the chassis rails rot, the tinwork on the bumper itself all rots, the torx screws under the bumper rot or round off. Its basically one big rust trap unfortunately.

P38A What would you change on re commission?

Start with the obvious then work your way through the little bits. Try not to tackle too much otherwise you'll tie yourself in knots. Start with the basics (engine, transmission, brakes) then as you go along keep a note of all the little bits you come across. If you just start firing the parts...

P38A Range Rover P38 Driver Seat modification

Highly doubtful without comprimising the integrity of the seat/rail. Even the poverty spec seats are a hefty lump.

    P38 2000 4.0 LPG Issue

I stand by what I said earlier. That looks a shoddy installation.

    P38 2000 4.0 LPG Issue

Get rid of the LPG. They tend to cause more problems than they solve. Have the terminals worn or is it the connectors themselves?

    time for an Ashcroft ATB!

    P38A 2.5 DT not starting

When I had the box out of mine it all came out as one lump, but putting it back in I split them as the gearbox jack didn't like it lol.

    P38A 2.5 DT not starting

They are a hefty lump but they weigh nothing compared to the jap stuff. The front diff on my old Terrano weighed more than the box and transfer on my P38 combined!
