Certainly an interesting one to see how it pans out. Haven’t thrown any of the original bulbs away incase I have to take them out.
Also ordered led reverse lights, rear fogs and indicators so gonna go to prison lol
Yes three of our cars including the D3 have had the EGR’s removed so be interesting to see how that ends up.
Wonder what the legal implications of fitting disco 4 led tail lights to d3’s are
Surprising with the led number plate lights. powerfuluk.com who I got them off don’t say anything about them being non-road legal and even have a you tube video showing them fitting them to their own daily driver.
Duly noted, wasn’t aware of any of that legislation.
Got led’s in the number plates of every car we own between us lol.
Like I say will get the battery tested at the weekend as when the engine is running the battery reads a higher voltage which to me points to the alternator is charging it...
Productive Saturday afternoon at my mates workshop.
Wasn’t going to be defeated by these chassis bolts so decided on a new tack.
FIRE!!!!!
And one of the angriest air tools, the mighty chisel
Five minutes of heating and the bolt was eased towards the fuel tank exposing a gap between...
Little update on this.
Last weekend I got round to replacing quite a few of the D3’s bulbs with LED’s.
That’s number plate, front side lights, most interior lights plus puddle lights.
Still got mirror down lights to do plus no plug attached to the foot well lights so will need to...
All the lights both interior, side lights and dash lights pulse dim when on idle.
Headlights dim when headed screen is switched on.
“Secret” menu shows voltage dropping to under 12v with multiple electrical systems running.
New alternator appears to be working properly so for me it’s pointing...
Lots of good information there that I did not know.
Will have to look into it in more detail.
Gonna go in the back burner for a bit ans still got flickering light problem even with led’s fitted so reckon I’m looking at a new battery on payday.
IID tool as well if I can stretch to it
Ah right ok cool. Well I’ll order a set of the 5 led ones in your link.
Pack of 10 will cover the interior bulbs plus I’ll get 4 puddle lights with the Land Rover logo on them.
That should cover the inside and I might even treat myself to a pair of 9 led bulbs for the side lights. Don’t suppose...
Look like they would do the trick. So 5 led for interior and 9 led for exterior?
Want to replace the front side light bulbs and reverse too if I can though thinking they will be a different bulb.
Quite like the door bulbs that put the Land Rover logo on the ground too.
Are these ones any good? Struggling to find the Vanssi ones.

Other end of cable, got it. Will go hunt that down.
Yes first thing I did was look on eBay and find one for £100. So will do that if I need one.
Right will do that when I’m next home.
Had no end of problems in the past with cheap led’s and the number plate ones on the missus Mondeo constantly...
Be popping over to Halfords one night this week then I reckon if I’m home.
Yer wouldn’t go second hand alternator on this, my off road Disco 1 yes but not this.
But the one on there is only about a month old and a genuine LR item so I’m hoping it isn’t that.
Yes seeing your logic as that...
Just to clarify that point all the interior and exterior bulbs are not led but standard spec.
Looking at the condition of some of them they look to be the original 14 year old bulbs.
I’m leaning towards battery as well but will try more investigating before chucking £100 at a new one.
