Not sure about a Freelander but on other cars the outside mirror adjustment switch must be positioned to the driver’s NS mirror. This will allow for the mirror dip in reverse. .
I’ve mentioned doing this also on a few other posts on this RAVE topic.
There is no need to run the .exe file when the PDFs are all stored in a couple of folders.
What year is your D2? Got diff lock?
I’m grabbing at straws here but get a 10mm spanner, crawl underneath and check if diff lock is fully disengaged and not in neutral (middle) position.
I’ve got my D2 SORN’d mothballed in my garage for a year and a half. It’s off the ground on 4 jack stands, and the battery is disconnected but on a trickle charge battery charger. I reconnect it and start it up once a month to remind myself how good it feels and I really need to get it back on...
I used BG44K religiously in all my vehicles when I was living in the states.
Where’d you find it? There was a guy in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk who sold BG products precovid but I can’t find him now.
I definitely know both XYZ switches have different part numbers and have different connectors; P38 (4 or 6 wire connector) & Disco 2 (9 or 10 wire connector).
If you plan on keeping your Disco Sport for some time, definitely invest in a LR specific diagnostic tool like a GAP IID.
A proper diagnostic tool pays or itself after a couple of uses by troubleshooting/correcting faults on-the-spot and not having to go to a stealership or garage.
