I've been longing for another Landy after having to surrender mine to my ex in 2001. It was a lovely Defender 110 and was much-missed. Prior to that, I had a Series IIA LWB which was my introduction to proper vehicles and the joys of trying to keep them in a straight line when travelling along.
Well, I was younger and stronger then and the lack of power steering in the IIA didn't bother me much; nowadays, I'm nearing retirement and have to be more careful. So, long story short, after 20+ years of being Landy-less, the small car I was driving gave up the ghost and has been replaced - after a whirlwind romance - with a Disco 3.
I may live to regret being so impulsive, but at the moment I'm still in the honeymoon period...... watch this space!
I very much doubt I'll be able to offer any constructive advice, but a virtual shoulder to cry on is available.
