    getting a disco @ 21 ... cheapest insurance providers.

Seems a fair price but you need to reconcider your milage limits. You will hit 1000 in no time, regardless. Thats only two bloody tanks full lol. If you say you will only be doing anything less than about 8000, you will probably have to fill out a milage declaration form, so you won't get away...

Northern Europe Trip - Scandinavia via the Baltics

Cheers, hopefully it will be! Sounds like a good trip. Will you be staying at the ice hotel? Planning to have a northern Scandinavian trip in a couple of years. Yeh the right to roam is a lovely law, not that the lack of it in some countries has ever particularly got in my way.

Northern Europe Trip - Scandinavia via the Baltics

Hi all I set off next week with two mates on a trip around northern Europe, picking up a 4th who will be flying out to Helsinki to join us as he couldn't get as much time off work. We will be catching the Dover to Calais ferry on Saturday afternoon, then heading east, passing through France...

    What is this cable for?

I'll test it tomorrow. Looks like its an always on 12v to me. I gotta take the console off again cos numpty here trapped the passenger seat belt socket under the cubby. I don't think it's that much of a problem but the missus isn't happy. :confused2:

    Another overheating issue...

Stat seemed fine in the pot, started opening about 85c. Pipes and valve seemed clear but replaced anyway. Looks like it's head off tomorrow then. If I do need to replace the head, and I can't believe I'm asking this.. are the britpart ones any good? There's a lot out there, all for different...

    Another overheating issue...

Yeh head was skimmed (for a lot less than £45 ;) ), and I'm on the 3 hole gasket so only got one more skim left in her. I hadn't touched it since yesterdays boil over until 10 mins ago, so it's been sat for about 16 hours. As soon as I undid the expansion cap, it started squirting water out. So...

    Another overheating issue...

Transfer Box Leak, PAS Leak & Steering 'Issue'

I also have a transfer box leak. The oil is coming out of the rear output, along the bolt. It hasn't been driven yet since fitted and looks like my mate didn't tighten the 30mm nut. Will tightening this nut, as James suggested, just to take up the play, solve the leak or do I need to replace...

    Interior colour code help

you could take the vehicle to a paint specialist, get them to scan it with one of their special colour identifying guns? You don't have to go with them but just get a quote to supply. You could also try a colour matching app but I've never used one and can't imagine they are that great...

What tools/equipment can't you live without?

Compressor. Irwin bolt removers are invaluable. Thor (copper/leather) hammer comes in handy more times you'd think Hub puller. Even the cheap 15 quid ones are good enough. Also handy for pushing in bearings. Torque wrench If you're ever looking at getting some new sockets, I can highly...

Range Rover Classic seats in Discovery

Cheers. Yeh they are great. But bare in mind the fronts dont hold you as well as the disco, so if you are gonna be doing a lot of off-roading, I wouldn't bother. The only thing I would do differently is drill the holes to allow for sideways adjustment once fitted. Just a little too close to...
