8 out of 10 cases when it loses coolant and nowhere to be seen it's the EGR cooler. Even more possible when an EGR blank is in place.

Most of the time the culprit for the misfire is the EGR blank. Other times there is no explanation. The engine runs better with EGR blanked is BS. Does not run better with egr blank, but runs better if the egr was kaputt and now blocked.

Taking inlet manifold off for a clutch job? Find another mechanic.

It's really only down to cold engine, the 5. Easier start as well.

5w40 full is good, 10w semi is also ok. I prefer 5w40 on td4s because is full syn and 10w40 is hard to find in that configuration.

Very hard to move by hand but not impossible. Should move but not freely with a gentle push.

We found version 139.08 to be better than 160 and 130. 130 is quite limited in terms of programming for example (still works but options missing) 160 has lots of functionalities removed. 139 is the sweet spot. But for 160 you don't need the date to be backwards, will work with 2021 fine. And...

Virtualbox was considered, but even after setting it to not sync time it will still do it. There is a way around it to set date at reboot, but it's dirty. I will update the lr folder on gdrive to use vmware player, where you can add a printer to as well :) It will be one click ready to go all...

yes just pull a wire on the throttle and tangle it somewhere on a lever and that's it.

Nope ;) maybe some universal that piggy backs on throttle. LR needs auto box for CC Believe me I have tried.

Turns out it was not bricked, just takes a very long time (20 mins+) to flash. I did not expect that. After reflashing with correct files I managed to do it properly, recover and pimped the cluster.

I will it was just a silly mistake picked the wrong file :) All seems easy anyway. I was too confident that is why I did not get a spare cluster. And it would have worked well if not done at 9PM after a busy day.

Yep it's gone however doing things the ford way helps, the ccf is backed up on bcm. So now the car runs and drives but nothing on the cluster. Instead of replacing AH52-14C026-AD.VBF I've replaced the dat ED file which went out of flash area of the cluster, bricking it to a point that it won't...

So I've successfully managed to brick the cluster over a tiny mistake on file change. Now car is immobilised and I cannot write back the old fw. Sucks innit, just hangs on ipc

Yes that is where I am missing the bits for pimping the cluster. That forced softwaredownload is an advanced method of flashing. On newer versions is not so configurable so I am unable to flash the IPC Engineering mode can be loaded on main interface as well but it requires some technical skills...
