SLS Suspension Controller kits available :-)

Hmm, It will be a bit tricky to have both working at once. The kit outputs the square wave signal, and if the BCU is doing it too, they'll get confused ;-) What I would do if you don't need both operating *at once*, would be to have insulated spade connectors, allowing you to disconnect the...

    SLS 2000 td5

Every thread, people say to check the ride height sensors on the rear radius arms. Then, change the bags. Or don't, and wait til your compressor burns out... Simples!

Knocking on rear Passenger side of the Disco 2

The radius bushes when I did em weren't THAT bad, but the pain was cutting off the bolts with the angle grinder (seized solid).

    Programmable ecu td5

From Chipped Td5 - Page 2 - 4x4 Community Forum No, these ECU's won't become reprogrammable via OBD even after chip replacement, See, I'm quite happy soldering the chips, but the issue would be getting hold of mapped chips. I suspect the map-companies wouldn't be keen on selling me...

    Programmable ecu td5

Hi Jay, Yeah, probably could do it from a technical perspective. But I'm still not entirely sure what these guys are providing, as it doesn't look like it will do what I wanted! They say: The chip fitted at factory in the MSB type ecu is a ROM (EPROM) being READ ONLY MEMORY, the...

    Disco 2 suspension plip

Perhaps a little harsh, but I take your point :flame: You're not the first to see the cheaper UK ones. I think the problem is they mark them as 'export', and people think it's a good thing, like Export strength lager ;-) Sadly the frequencies don't match the receivers fitted to the UK cars...

    Disco 2 suspension plip

Another alternative (disclosure of small commercial interest I suppose ;-) Would be one of the SLS kits I mentioned on another thread £30 which gives you a wired switch. Coupled with one of these: 12V Fixed Encoding Remote Control Switch Control 2Road | eBay if you need it to be remotely...

    Programmable ecu td5

The chip holds more than just the map. Without some valid contents, I doubt very much it would be possible to talk to it without nano com.

    Programmable ecu td5

I suspect there's a bit more to it than just that. The new chip will need to be programmed otherwise the Ecu would be just dead. Whether you can just program it with the contents of the old chip I don't know myself...

    Programmable ecu td5

That aligns with my thouhgts, thanks for the info nathan5346 :-) I have a non-flashable ECU, and am happy I can replace the chip without too much grief, but would need some maps to play with! Would be able to program the chip on the bench, but would want to know whether I could do it via the...
