What kind of thing do you come across in Morocco? 245/75’s will give you around 20mm from memory. You may want to consider parts availability wherever you are going. Is it easier to get oem spec rather than an aftermarket part should something go wrong?

When you changed to loom did you clean the plugs at engine and the ecu end? Any chance there is oil in the ecu? Do you have the old loom to try as a comparison? Checking the wiring isn’t damaged is another thing to look at.

If you’ve got no warning lights and the SLS and ACE was removed ‘properly’ then you should have no problems with the mot. EGR and decat depends on your luck I’d imagine.

May be the ac being really cold in a humid car. I have had it in another car previously and the D2’s AC is pretty decent so possible it’s that?

The reason the D1 went and I got the D2 was the same thing. Proper seat belts on all seven seats, isofix, abs, air bags ac etc. The D1 was really reliable and I loved its character. Would have kept it if I had somewhere sensible to store it ready for a restoration but life gets in the way of...

Another £100 spent with LR direct. We’re doing great things for the economy keeping these things going! ARB bushes All new HD roll bar links Panhard link bushes All new oem bolts Few other miscellaneous bits to sort the loose engine cover etc. Is it wrong I’m quite excited for its arrival o_O

I wonder if it would be easier to sell the V8 and repaint the Td5 if you really wanted to. Could have any colour you fancy that way and probably less fuss.

The HD ones mentioned above are £12 so will go for them, let’s see what the extra £2 gets me! Going to do the panhard rod bushes while I’m at it too. I hope to be adding plenty of miles to the current 160k as long as it continues to behave.

Pull the connector on the front of the engine. Just because the red plug is clean it doesn’t mean the loom hasn’t failed, the oil may not have made it that far yet.

What are the benefits to the HD ones? No lift, just new oem suspension with SLS and ACE. The articulation is really impressive as it is. She gets used as my daily driver and gets a few laning trips a year too.
