No you can't, MAP(manifold absolute pressure) if you unplug that the turbo won't know whats going on. In theory it will go to a default setting, but that won't help. Mike

TD4 auto owned for 14 years. Breakdowns = well none really, it's never stopped even when a bits given up. Can't fault it. Do an oil and filter change, do the autobox fluid as well, it's not that difficult. Pop a new air filter in and give it some stick. Enjoy. Mike

If you turbo hoses are soft, they probably need replacing, they should be fairly rigid. If they expand due to being soft then your turbo isn't working efficiently. This makes your engine work overly hard. Sounds like you could do with a big dose of injector cleaner to. Clean your MAF sensor...
