HELP PLEASE. Rear Loading bay window

All body shells and tailgate doors are the same. Only thing I can think of, is the glass in the 2 holders that you tighten correctly?? There is a rubber channel sitting in the plastic holders. The glass needs to sit in the centre of that rubber. The idea is that there is a thin section of...

What have you done to your Freelander today

I have started a hand up acknowledgement to all other Freelander 1 drivers. Most just give me an odd look ! Selling parts has recently ramped up and so I think they are getting rarer on scrapyard.

Freelander 1 Rear wheel cylinder bolts

Please don't apply glue to any brake pipe joints even to drive it 100 metres !!! It will end badly. Remake the necessary section and fit at a point where access is ok. I always use Kunifer not copper. Copper is too soft and the unions brake when overtightened or unscrewed at a later date.

F1: leaking rear diff - repairable?

Hi and welcome. Ar that mileage the cost of a remove and replace for a seal, depending which one, pinion at front is harder, would outweigh a good second hand or recon unit. With the noises too it sounds like all is not well. Syphon out some oil and inspect it. Any signs of metal is a...

    Freelander 1 fault code P0130.

Special O2 sensor socket won't fit in gap. O2 sensor is on the engine side of the exhaust manifold. if it is duff, best plan is to cut plug off it and thread a ring spanner on that fits tightly to prevent rounding. Then a sharp blow with a hammer to unscrew it. Soak with penetrating oil for a...

Lucas Starter Motor on Freelander 1

No I don't think we know as certainly I have never seen a Lucas. It may be identical to a Denso ? Check the low current supply before removing starter motor. May be a simple connection.
