300tdi not starting after defender rebuild

I've just changed the stop solenoid for a new one and still no luck. There's 12v to it on position 2 of ignition but on crank it goes down to 8.5v. Would this cause an issue and make the pin drop back into original position?

300tdi not starting after defender rebuild

Will replace it tomorrow and see if it fixes it. Only other thing could be injector issues I guess.

300tdi not starting after defender rebuild

You can hear the stop solenoid click when you turn ignition on. Also I have diesel out of the pipes by the injectors to which when I cracked the injector pipe nuts diesel spat out.

    Fuel line thread size.

Can anyone help, Or is it worth me buying second hand items and cutting the hose tails off and using the rubber pipe with jubilee clips.

    Fuel line thread size.

All my fuel lines to the pump and lift pump are a very tight fit in length and should be replaced for longer items ideally. My defender had a 300 tdi conversion by the previous owner and was a bit of a bodge. The reason to make my own was to direct them and give greater slack on the pipes. So...

Does anyone know what size thread is used on the fuel lines connections on the fuel tank? Unfotunately one of the tail ends have been cross threaded. I have some 8mm fuel hose, olives to hand just need to source the correct hose tails. If anyone has a link to some that would be great as i dont...

    What caliper bolts are these?

Im rebuilding my 300tdi axles and am stumped on what caliper bolts i should be using. I was told when purchasing my defender the axles were off of a 1994 discovery, and there is no visable part number on the axle itself. So far i have tried: FTC3375 AFU1031 571910 591065 It seems like the...

    Deans Defender rebuild

Not had time to carry on with the project as quickly as i liked. However my chassis is back from being blasted and coated. Only one tiny rust hole appeared in the chassis not bad for 24 years of use. Now to give it a lick of paint then rebuild my unknown axles and can start putting it...

    Deans Defender rebuild

Yea, i no you can get a shorter bell housing so you wouldnt have to cut the seatbox. however will require moving the mounting positions. I may decide to stick with the R380 and just mod the new seat box. My corrosion issues: The worst part of the chassis other to this it seems...
