Hi thanks for the replies. Just to add some more info. The A frame ball joint, trailing arm bushes, swivel bearings, wheel bearings and ball joints are all new. I do however get a wobble under breaking. thanks again for your help.

Thanks for the reply minty. The general problem is that when i hit a large bump in the road the steering jumps with no feel at all and you suddenly find you have been snatched off course.

Thanks for all the advise! Changed the transfer box today which went well. However i still have the whining noise that i had before. Also difficult to disengage diff lock. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Can it be removed easy enough without removing the main box also?

Will try that! However there was no noise when i drove the car with the front prop out. Also couldn't feel any play in the front input flange.
