Sounds like a plan. I'll have plenty of opportunity to turn it over before I get the fuel primed after changing the diesel filter, apparently another common pain in the backside problem I'll have to overcome!

I lied, my local LR just got a case of 10. Last time I called they said they didnt have it. Guy told me when there is a car in for service that needs that part they will order a case (LR cost) and service that part. Just a chance of right timing.

Allegedly filters out water and crud. Sounds like it's fixing a problem that doesn't exist. Yes you get water in petrol but I've never had it cause a problem. And regular filters/sediment bowls do a decent job

I opted for tubular turrets to reduce crud build up and subsequent corrosion. Had to trim some of the inner wing and turrets to make fit but love the look of the exposed shock. I have only done the offside so far as it took longer than expected...

I’ve gone with steel for now since the other ones seem to be! But saying that the other ones don’t have spring washers on them haha, Putting the nut on has stopped the firebell noise and as a second bonus, made the engine wayyyyyy more quiet!

Took a spin in the Mini, no further instances of "front-firing" (so far) since I changed the dashpot oil to 30W. :D Too soon to declare it "fixed", but I think we are getting there or thereabouts. :)

@tottot my 85 110 V8 had the Small callipers on. As the motors were built the same time as RRC they used the small ones. Was better as all the pads were the same size. Then the disco came out and same again, small callipers on some of these. I’m...
