Pig is leaving today. Going to a chap who I instantly liked and who is going to be doing a restoration on. Sad day but I also got a new lovely daily and a new gun yesterday so the pain is minimal 😂.
It makes me really happy that the guy loved it...
And as @marjon says do not use those blue "scotch block" connectors. There are other similar products today that work the same way today by squeezing the wire between two thin metal bits while splitting the sheath, contact area is very small and...
If it worked right before then just change like for like in the new socket.
Or you could trace the wires back to the origin ( probably 1 of the back light areas)

By the time they got to the TD5 they went back to a very chunky cast jobbie with replaceable inserts where the centre pivot and the slave cylinder pushrod go. I've had clutch problems but never the clutch fork.
Seriously impressive how it can do all of that and with a trailer on the back.
Good to know about the knock to the fuel tank causing some issues, I hadn't heard of that happening before.
When I watched 1 on a cross axle that had stopped both a 110 & Hilux ji was amazed.
Electronics took over and it carried on & it was dragging the trailer as well.
Friend drives a couple of lanes to the campsites unhooks & carries on.
Yep he...
Search struts depot. They have adjustable types. It used the company but was working on an overland trailer & it lifts the lid with the tent on top with ease with 2 struts on. Saw the name company name on them
Thanks! Just perusing the site with the measurements between the existing holes as reference. Sadly banging "Ifor Williams" into the search only returns horse trailer struts at 2100N, which might rip the canopy in half if I fitted them 🤷♀️ going...
It’s actually got a buyer should the highest bidder mess about. The guy was a really nice chap and loved landies, farming etc. I’m hoping he wins to be honest
Not much relevance to LRs, but a good running out of fuel story nonetheless...was heading south on the ice roads (ice road truckers) and had only just come off the last lake back onto the all season road that runs the last 70kms into Yellowknife...
Probably but I think it will be gone by the time you get round to deciding if interested mate. Under 2 days left and it’s had 1200 odd views on eBay 😳
Got 2 people wanting to view - both farmers 😂
Okay so I think I've sorted this - clearly not looking properly at 11pm last night when I was trying to fit it.
If you look at the sixth photo, you can just about see the stud from the mount sticking down, this was resting on the chassis leg...
From what I have picked up on the forum chatter their quality control has improved. But still not sure I will be ordering form them when the time comes. I need a chassis and bulkhead for the station wagon, but that will probably come from...
Just to confirm @Hicap phill above the interior/ dash light switch as standard gives dash lights one way and interior light the other way with both off in the middle.
Carburettor. What do you do? Best option, send to a specialist and give it the works. Can't really afford it. Change to a Weber. I stupidly want to keep the original one. Buy a Chinese replacement. I hear they can be lots of trouble. I'm going to...
Latest dash bits. Still got a bit of fettling and shaping to do before covering in vinyl but definitely coming on. I can't think of a way to replicate the indented oval shape over those three spare gauge holes so will have to live without it...
