Disco 2 Still got 3 Amigos after fitting new ABS sensor, does it need to go on computer?

Plugged it in, cleared stored codes and it’s all good to go. Seems because the wire snapped while the car was moving the “abs sensor failure” fault wouldn’t reset

    Rave

Windows 10 was the easiest install for me Click the.iso to mount it Right click the .exe and select run as administrator, ignore the warnings then tell it to install Green oval on desktop to launch, sometimes the .iso doesn’t remount so that might need a double click first

Disco 2 Still got 3 Amigos after fitting new ABS sensor, does it need to go on computer?

I've signed up but not been approved yet. The fact the ABS light never goes out but the other 2 does says its either still faulty or a stored code, however without a diagnostic machine I'm just guessing. I have a bit of time tomorrow so I'm going to repair the old one and give that a try, once...

Disco 2 Still got 3 Amigos after fitting new ABS sensor, does it need to go on computer?

Yeah, £15 more than a Britpart so I thought it was money well spent

Disco 2 Still got 3 Amigos after fitting new ABS sensor, does it need to go on computer?

I know the exact cause Heard wire twang, bong bong bong, 3 amigos on, look underneath and see wire I was hoping swapping the sensor would turn them off, seems it’s the stored codes keeping them on

Disco 2 Still got 3 Amigos after fitting new ABS sensor, does it need to go on computer?

Yeah I've been out in it. I was thinking stored codes as the ABS light never goes out

Disco 2 Still got 3 Amigos after fitting new ABS sensor, does it need to go on computer?

I did the discs and pads all round on my D2, all was well until I did a 3 point turn and the o/s front ABS sensor wire snapped, bringing on the 3 amigos and the red brake warning light. No proper bracket and I must have pulled it too tight I cable tied the wire out of the way and carried on...

Bought a Disco, couple of Q's

Does have rear seats and setbelts, it has privacy glass but no idea if it started life as a commercial, insurance didn't say it was a van

Bought a Disco, couple of Q's

So after nearly going Jap I saw sense and bought an 02 Disco TD5 :) It's a "special vehicle" even has the plate but no idea what that means It seems to have rear electric windows, but blanks in the console and doors, if I buy some switches will the windows work? There seems to be a strap that...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Full exhaust including both cats. Heard it blowing and thought it would last a week, but it snapped off at the manicat the next day, rest of it didn't look too good so I replaced the lot, second cat had completely disintegrated. £250 and 2 hours of ****ing about

What have you done to your Freelander today

Sorted the air con with a Halfords STP kit, £45 on trade card and £10 back for the empty bottle I read many a horror story about it neededing to be pumped out and tested but I attached the gauge, followed the instructions and now have icy cold air con :) 200 miles and it's been on for every...

Freelander 1 1998 1.8 petrol lambda sensor removal

I removed the manifold, chopped in in half and used a 22mm socket on the impact driver

What have you done to your Freelander today

Swapped the snapped aerial and base, now I can get radio :) Also fitted roof bars, I wanted a rack but £130 vs £30 when I've just started a business wasn't a hard choice Waiting on a new lambda sensor and I can finish my exhaust swap, which includes removing the manicat

More Power from 1.8 K series

This is where the 4-2-1 manifold comes into it, as when I used to tune cars properly, as in proper exhausts, bigger carbs and altering heads, a 4-2-1 was used for low torque The later cars have 2 cats, the manifold has 4 very short runners to a cat then is one pipe through another cat

Freelander 1 How to fit a 50mm Lift Kit

Nice write up, does the 40mm kit need the rear arms extending? If so and I've got to drag the welder out I might as well do the 50mm kit

Freelander Soft 'A'/Nudge Bar STC930 Fitting Problem?

Which one is it? I fitted one to a 2002 1.8 and had to chop more out of the bumper for the brackets, they were marked on the back but the holes didn't line up

Freelander 1 Remote oil filter and gauges fitted

This is one of those jobs that arose out of "project creep" but I ended up with the bits so thought I would use them. The kit has been built up from various sources, some of the JIC fittings are eye wateringly expensive, but they assemble really nicely and do the job. The old filter, I'm doing...
