as Hippo said. Stopstart does not work on Autos, only on manual gearbox. Only once with a hired car i had stop start. Switched it off.

Push both mirrors forward. Then you can spray silicon spray into the joint. Don,t use standard WD40. If you work the mirrors a few times with more silicon spray to make sure all is lubricated.

I would say that the oil level check is urgent. If you are not using the Disco you can wait. If using it ask the garage for an emergency oil level check.

I fitted the plastic trims to my Disco 1 many years ago. Works really well Tip—-to get the screws to bite into the plastic use a power driver with a flexible drive. Need the speed and also better access behind the instrument cowl. Remember to let us know how you get on

All Jap imports come with the speedo head in Km. As long as you point it out distance in Km,s is acceptable for MOT. On my Jap a disco 1 I mounted my Tom Tom on the RHS of the screen just above the instrument panel, Much more accurate for checking speed. Still do the same with Tomtom on my Disco 2
