Replacing the oil cooler solved my problem of oil in coolant.

gdb, with regards to the new set-up, does the i-pod adaptor and little screen replace the cd player and have you kept the original R990 head unit? Do the steering controls work? Would be interested to hear

What precautions need to be in place before checking the loom? Does diconnection cause any loss of settings etc or is just a DIY job?

I have a 01 ES that was converted from manual to auto quite early in its life. All is in order and it seems perfect. The only slight thing missing is that the digital display on the dash does not show P-R-D etc, but I usually know when I am parked, going backwards or forwards!

There were a different set of cross bars intended for the Disco11, however, as I had a set of cross bars (with the little spring mounted prongs), I just drilled a couple of holes into the roof rails and hey presto, all sorted.

Another issue may be the volume from you ipod / mp3 player. Make sure it is turned up most of the way, as the deck in my 01 ES will start fast forwarding if no sound is coming from the tape connection (think that can be solved by pressing the MAN button though.)

Just to add, I recently had the AC in my DII re-gassed and it is great. Real improvement on warm / hot days (remember them?)

One tip I would have is to park facing down a slope, even if it is slight. If I park facing up the slope my Disco 2 leaks. Must get around to looking at the seals some day
