Buy 5hit parts and spend hours wrestling them into place. Replaced the lower door seal, the one that rivets on and what a PITA. Anyroad the job is done now. I also removed the crappy 'land Rover' decals from the bonnet.

Did a bit of prep work on the two doors I'm putting up fer sale.

Put the trickle charger on the battery to see if I can get away without having to buy a new battery... but I suspect I’ll end up buying one.

Some of that looks deeper than surface rust :(
Maybe. I put quite a bit of pressure on it and none of it caved. It’s almost like the previous owner had caked an inch of paint on it.

There’s a patched bit right of the accelerator too. Seems mostly fine. Some does look kinda deep and there is a small hole, still seems pretty sturdy.

As the iron collects oxygen it increases in mass and can create, what appears, to be a sturdy structure. It's nothing like the original metal though. ☹️ Also, it's probably so porous that the rust inhibitor will not be able to get in and around all of it. :( Even if it is very runny.

Driven it about today and nearly slid sideways into a new XC90 on a blind bend, I know the brakes work.

I also decided to change the power steering fluid.

Got this pair in the garage, now need to make the time to fit them. @bankz5152 :D:D

Rear one first. Front will be done with a swivel housing change.

Cheers

Fitted my new stereo today and removed the birds nest of old speaker wires and surplus cabling. Where there were spring onions there is now a conduit to Classic FM :D

Fat spring onions those. Ours don’t get so fat, probably due to the extreme cold.
We call them scallions
