@Al2O3 totally agree, spotted them in the farm shop yesterday and just ad to ave em. Tho' they were either scallions or Merkin import GM onions.
 
I cleaned some of the mud off it this morning from the weekend's trip to Wales. I also made some adjustments to the clutch because on the way home yesterday evening it was getting really hard to change gear. I've wound out the clutch adjuster a couple more turns and added some fluid and it feels like I have a higher bite point now so it might be better. Of course it works fine in the yard, it's after a long motorway run that it gets difficult. I think I may also have solved a flickering brake warning light. I thought I solved it the other day by moving the handbrake switch slightly, but it came back. One of the wires was coming out of its spade connector on the brake fluid reservoir lid. In trying to open the little tabs to crimp it back on I broke the spade connector. So I managed to solder the wire onto the remains of the spade connector and push it back into its plastic shroud. That seems to have cured the warning light problem again. Let's see if it stays cured this time.

I got the D2 a waterpump and to stop the 90 getting jealous I got it these.

They will go well with the items in post #29914.....

So today, despite being all snotty and sneezy...No I am not two of the seven dwarves..LOL.

I fitted the springs. Old vs New

The springs from Extreme 4x4 have made a very nice difference on the road, much smoother. Gone from a +2" 259Lb/in spring to a +2" progressive 180 / 350 Lbs. Soooo much nicer, will be interesting to see how they handle off road.

Plus as I suspected the rear diff had an internal issure, I luckily had a 2nd hand Ashcroft ATB diff ready to fit, Sure enough when I pulled the diff I found this.

So , it was lucky I had one of these......:p

So looking forward to seeing how it all works, will look at gettign the front ATB fitted , plus might look at new springs on the front as well......Gotta love landies.

I suspect your old springs are akin to my knees :(
 
This weekend was a mixed bag; Dismantled N/S/R door to see what the welding job was going to be like, a dry run if you like. It has been put back together by Ray Charles and a tube of Sikaflex previously, so it took longer to reinstall than had planned.
Anyway, easy enough for next weekend when I start cutting and welding ( bought a new toy, been practicing in the garage burning holes in things and welding spanner’s to bencheso_O)
Then spent an hour trying to get the damn thing to shut after refitted the door...Grrrr.

Removed 50kg of sidesteps, not going back on - prefer it without. Will fit some rocksliders instead.

Meanwhile the lad fitted the Steering Guard, actually a real 5 min job! (A rarity)

And the final crowning glory, recovered the dash with some Leathery stuff - much improved (previously a chewing toy for a Dag)

Knackered, G&T, Sunday Roast, Top Gear, Sleep.....
