Just fixed the speedo. Plastic clip split and cable vibrated off. Jubilee clip for quick fix which I hope holds because I can’t be arse rerouting a new speedo cable :mad:
 
I rebuilt the centre diff in my LT230 with new thrust washers o the planetary gears. I also put the front and rear bearing housings in the oven while the better half was out shopping and heated them to 100 degrees as per the book before dropping the new bearings in.

I’ve started shimming up the bearing with their correct pre load. Can’t get much further until the new Zinc Cadmium plated bolts arrive (it’s going to look very smart when it’s fitted).

Semi synthetic EP90 is very runny. Not what I was expecting.
 
I changed the injector loom and rocker gasket on my TD5. There weren't any symptoms with the old one but oil was starting to show at the multiplug on the cylinder head. It seems to have cleaned up the exhaust a little more - hardly any smoke at all when I started up.
 
The full military cages do the job,

Spent a bit more time on the false rear wheel and the old wheel cover I got off a mate. I bought a decal for the centre and it arrived this week.
Once that was stuck on I needed to give the wheel cover some TLC as it wasn't looking great.

Used a TCut black colour stick to fill in the crazing. Then used 'back to black' all over it.
Came out canny :)

Replaced the Drivers Door Seal, 5min job. Followed by an hour adjusting the door so it would shut - hinges are worn, so much faffing with striker and A post bolts. Now it shuts but sticks out - seals are a bit fat at the top.....bit like me so it’ll do (Solihull Standard!)
