Fitted an aux cable to my FL1 Becker satnav head unit. Had to lose the underseat CD player but everybody has music on their phones so it was a bit redundant anyway. Less than £4 from a well known auction site for a Blaupunkt aux cable and took 5 minutes to fit. Works a treat. Well worth the money.

Got MOT with NO advisories on a 03 td4. My daily looking after pays off.
Removed the spare wheel carrier for a spray, amazing how much stuff can gather inside, leaves and dirt mainly.
Ah yes and changed both lower arms+bushes and drop links before mot.

I did the same a few years ago. It's the single best value mod/upgrade you can make to the FL1 HSE imo

Bought it a new aux belt and steering pump reservoir. Topped up the oil and checked tire pressures.

Put the first 700 miles on me new clutch. Torfaen to Humberside to Lancashire and back to Torfaen. Used about 70 litres of fuel which is incredible economy for our hippo :)

I have just put a reader to my hpfp does any1 no wot bar it should b on with engine not running with key in the ignition?

LPFP should be over 350 KPA. The HPFP pressure needs measuring when the engine is running, or there's no high pressure fuel to be measured. At idle the HP pressure should be over 25,000 KPA, but 28,000 KPA is better. At full power, the rail pressure can approach 130,000 KPA.

Thanks got a hpfp reader to check pressure will try it tomoz car is doin my head in now this morning it started 1st time no smoke but other day it took about 4times to start

What do you mean "took 4 times to start"? Are you just stabbing at the key?

To start a sluggish diesel, just hold the key in the start position, until it fires, which should happen within 10 seconds or so. Don't crank it for more than 20 seconds ,if it's still not starting, as the starter will overheat.

Do keep key start position its starts then cuts ok and turn key again it starts that's wen I get the white smoke for a couple off secs

Mine does that if I've pre-heated the engine with the FBH. However it's fine if I don't pre-heat the engine.
What have you checked? It's best to start a new thread on subject, rather than post running issues on this thread, as it'll get lost in the general noise. ;)

Bought one on eBay, I was the only bidder and won the no reserve auction but the seller refuses to tell me where they live unless I increase my bid by 1000% and eBay won't back me up either:(

Don't you just hate it when that happens.
I'm surprised Ebay won't step in though. I'm sure once the bids are closed, the sale price is the sale price.

Leave negative feedback and move on. ;)

Sounds like either a con man or an idiot that doesn't understand how ebay works.
Legally you might have a case in the small claims court but probably more bother than it's worth.

I had quite a foul mouthed phone call last night blaming his wife for the listing but he was well aware that he didn't have to give me his address and Ebay couldn't. If he hadn't have lied and just said it's a genuine mistake that's one thing. Oh and he's kept my pound I PayPal'd him

That's appalling. It reminds me of the time I won a leather steering wheel for my FL1. It strangely never materialised. The vendor asked me whether it had arrived yet - which is strange, when does a vendor ever do that? When it still failed to arrive, he "kindly" refunded me without quibble - but the reality is that he probably sold it on to someone else at a better price than my winning bid...

The lengths some toe-rags go to.

Still, sometimes you win. My front door I won on eBay for £1.49 and the subframes on my MGF both cost less than a fiver each... but that was before the current fad of listing car parts on buy-it-now auctions by semi-professional vehicle breakers.

He’s kept your £1 now that’s not on, its war:D

E-bay aren’t much help, they don’t seem to enforce rules we all seem to accept exist. Don’t know the real legal standing of the whole transaction myself. Honest people put stuff up for sale and stick by what they say but there are so many “chancers” who don’t.

It will be back on later, let us know when you see it and then we can bid on it and then not pay:D

E-bay should help get your quid back though.
