Yesterday I wrapped duct tape around the hose going to the EGR to cover a canny split in it - this weekend I will be putting new silicone hoses on haha

I think that would be good. Hopefully the weather will behave itself. I think Rob will be in his Disco Sport though.
Yes, likely in the DS - the kids will prefer it for the long drive down the M4/M5 etc. lol - this one has TVs and more USB chargers than you can shake a stick at!

Necessary for the kids these days.

I'll be keen for a meet though unless it's between 14th and 29th Sept as I'll be away on the J.O.G. trip.

We're booked in over half term for a few days - 21st-23rd if that works with you guys?

The car has its own WiFi hub, but needs a 4G data card. Not installed one, as I can't justify a monthly tarriff, Might look into Pay-as-you-go data cards, as it will mainly be used for long road trips...

To think I used to make do with a radio and an imagination when I was their age ;)

Why not get a sim only deal from the likes of Giff Gaff unlimited data for 20 pound a month happy days for everyone

I don't need that, as I have a 30Gb data plan on my Note 9.
The kids hardly make a dent in that, even on the 4.5 hour journey to Horsham.

Having data on the makes me think that getting a data card isn't really worth it. We binge-drive the car: mostly it doesn't do much; wife uses an electric runabout to get to work and back, but it gets a lot of use come family holidays or trips to the west country to see my father. If the car were used more regularly, then a dedicated SIM would probably make more sense? But if monthly plans get cheaper, it may be worth considering.

Decided to treat the old girl Td4 as it has performed faultlessly since replacement engine 13k miles ago. Replacing bits that I am getting concerned about. Bought new brake lines, discs, pads, drums, shoes, spring set, fuel tank cradle. Will also change 175k mile shocks. Any ideas on best to fit? Monroe seem fair price. Will, of course, be powder coating subframes and suspension arms while it is apart. The V6 will be the short term buggy. This has only 54k on the clock and loads of new stuff now. Will sell V6 when Td4 is finished.
