Not today, but yesterday. Got the R5 stat in the top hose and the car heats up lovely and stays bang on the centre of the gauge! Ideal, except its made the original stat o-ring leak a bit more. Win some, lose some.

Unblocked the aircon condensate drain.

During the recent hot, humid spell I noticed a lot of 'fog' emanating from the fascia vents. Didn't think much about it; just thought it was cold, dry air meeting warmer, more humid air in the cabin. Wrong!

When I lifted the rubber mats in preparation for its bi-annual clean I noticed the carpet on the passenger's side was soaking. I removed the pollen filter to find the bottom third was also saturated. Searching this forum enabled me to find the condensate drain tube. (Driver's side. Simply remove plastic cover on the side of the centre console and peel back the carpet.)

I removed the hose from the body fitting and a LOT of water came out. Good job I had a towel ready to soak it up. Obviously that meant the body fitting was clogged. I pulled it off, breaking the brittle retaining clips in the process. It was blocked with slimy, gummy muck; easily cleaned under a hot tap.
The fitting was put back in with some sealant, the hose reconnected, a new pollen filter fitted, and the engine started to test the system. A steady trickle of water now comes from underneath the car.

Job done. Less than an hour.

Hoping it'll look the business after dark

I did the same thing to mine a couple of years ago, but the MOT tester failed it on the last test, saying the light colour was too blue (cold white LEDs). I've since changed them to warm white, which isn't so obviously different to normal bulbs. It seemed daft to me, as the LEDs made the number plate much brighter than the original bulbs did.

New tyres and a wheel alignment done. Money well spent as some adjustment needed. Managed to find another small independent tyre place as the one I'd used previously has been taken over by a chain and despite numerous phone calls failed on the day!

Started to diagnose why my td4 decided to stop starting.

Thinking/hoping it's just filters but afraid it maybe more along the lines of high pressure pump :(

I have black badged wheel centres too. I think they look more upmarket than the green badges
Agreed, I've also got badges for the front grille, boot handle, steering wheel and gel for the pillars, hope the gel goes on..

Also gone and given myself the instagram upgrade for the candids
