MGF rearview mirror conversion.

I've done that but went one step further. Adding an outside temperature sensor too.

Today I filled the boot with these, fresh from the tyre fitters.

So that I could make it look like this.

I'm glad I went for the larger 235/55/18 size tyre as there's still plenty of room.

Someone changed the clock for one with temp readings as well, so they could fit an outside temp sensor.
I thought it was you, but it was in the dim mists of time ;).

Well the under tray off, left it running for 15mins and not a trace of fuel dripping! God knows where it was coming from! So old oil drained while the cover was off. Just waiting for my neighbour coming home now so I can borrow a socket to take the oil filter off.
It could be from the return pipes I think I have this issue but can't look until next week

Opened the boot security box to get out some lashing straps for the dog cage and found it full of water. Have ordered freshwater plants and a selection of goldfish.

Bone dry there as well. Touch wood not a sign or smell of diesel. I did replace the crank case breather and turbo vent at the same time but can't see that having any impact?

Spent near on 5 hours washing and polishing today, went over it with t cut ultimate black using a dual action polisher, then autoglym vinyl and rubber. Looking great on the outside, just need to get the inside done tomorrow now haha.

Got the hippo through MOT today, Needed the sill welding, Did the rear bake shoes, drop link. Brake light and track rod end myself. All in all a cheap MOT just before The Blue Screen of MOT death that will be in force in a week ;)

Pollen filter and expansion bottle done today. Couldn't believe how lagged the old filter was. Drop links tomorrow if the weather is clement I think.

I was reading some post on LZ recently about adding red 'cabin' lights for night driving. I thought this was an interesting idea as when I'm driving at night I often fumble around with the heat' ven't controls and the switches below them. I fitted one LED just below the arm rest cubby lid. It works a treat! Just enough light to illuminate the centre console without any glare to the driver... I've also popped this in the 'Not your normal mods' thread too.
