V8250, that’s a smart little MG B in the background...
thanks knappster, she's my other mechanical mistress. a Sebring bodied project with a 4.0 TVR V8 +R380 + Cosworth Viscous LSD + Hoyle IRS&Coil overs. It's the project I should have been completing until the Landy went wobbly. Life's rarely straight forward :( but she'll go like the proverbial when finished...here's the front end :)

I spent 3 hours this morning tinkering with nothing to show :( I have had enough today as it's too hot in my metal garage :)

@v8250
Nice...watch the crazy people in the berks MG owners club.;)
They do a nice doughnut run September.
(Take any motor)

So, MGV8's not running/ready, the Landy's not running/ready...is a Subaru Forester accepted? "Three cars and only one works...!" Who else has this frequent dilemma?

PS these doughnuts you mention, are they of the edible or black rubber variety?

Mostly today I will be hunting down my mysterious coolant leak!!:confused:

Could it be as simple as a buggered expansion tank cap? (pressure tested and new silicone hoses fitted and all good there)... would explain the coolant sprayed al over the inside of the bonnet around the tank , but am I really that lucky? Guess I find out tomorrow when the new one arrives!!:)

So removed rear prop. Went to shop & collected new one.
Get home it don’t fit too long.so back to the shop measure all the props they had & none match mine.
So purchased a UJ off to their work shop & replace the damaged 1.
Then off to a machine shop to shrink the new prop shaft to the required size & weld up.collect this Wednesday.

Back home and fit the refurbed prop ready for use the weekend.

That wasnt the whole days work, I also did the oil and filters on the Series 2, the front lower suspension arms/front disc/pads on the D3 and now I cant bloody sleep!
My missus hates the shower, shes one of them bathtub weirdos!

I have fitted an internal wheel carrier ready for next weekend. I was fed up with wasting all the space on the tub floor.
I know it should be against the bulkhead but I prefer where I have put it
It will suffice until I can get an external swing away :)

This weekend I replaced the fooked tranny box on the 110 300tdi. Removed the floor panels, transmission tunnel and the panel under the cubby box. Did 90% of the work from inside the cab.
