Hi, did you have a faulty sender originally & put a on/off switch on the dash? My Freelander 1 has a FBH fitted & it's started cutting in now we've had this cold spell (like you say they are brilliant) but I've noticed a couple of times it's cut in above the 4 degrees it's meant to so I was going to either replace the sender, fit a timer unit (depending on cost) or do as you have put a manual switch in. Unfortunately my D2 doesn't have one fitted.Recently fitted a fbh over ride remote which iv only tested after fitting.
Used it this morning in the frost to warm the engine and car up.......nice.

Replacing my leaking swivel ball and while I’m at it doing the wheel bearings and replacing
The callipers pistons with stainless and new seals, obviously new discs and pads as well,
Should keep me occupied over Christmas
