nope but if i carries on leaking thats my last thing on my list. seems it like to leak alot between the glass and seal after adjusting the glass abd diing the screws up a bit seems water tight at last...... watch this space

If you have the roof lining out, then it is worth doing. An extra few minutes, run some sealant around the frame . Put it back in and tighten up. The seal that was in mine originally between the frame and the roof was as flat as a pancake.

Cheers

i do think iv cracked it this time. last night in the rain i could see the water seapping past the sunroof seal today all good. thats 30 mins with the hose.

I have found that my Disco was sold by James Edwards Land Rover Brock, which I have reason to believe is in Preston, so I've dropped them a quick email to see if they are willing to help with service history.
So, I got an automated response back from this place last night, saying that someone would be in touch within two hours during normal working hours, and I have yet to hear anything from them. Now, I fully appreciate that they are going to prioritise paying work over my feeble request, but has anyone had any dealings with this place, and can I expect a delay in a response? I believe its called Hunters now, and not James Edwards.

So after having a pretty good day yesterday:
Replaced the generic nearside mirror with a genuine and finally getting rid of the wind blowing in at 30+ MPH
And installing a new MAF and Silicone hoses.

Today turned out sh i t.
Got a new oil and rotor filter, new fuel filter and oil to get her all up to speed, plus de-EGR kit ready
Bolt on oil drain: way to tight and already smooth around the edges, so not going off...
Bolts on EGR exhaust: one sheared off and one was already smooth, so no way of getting it out. (Yes soaked with WD40 the day before)
Totally forgot about the fuel filter through this hassle.
Checked the ACU for oil...yeah I'm going to need to replace the injector harness.

Tomorrow I'll let the "pro" handle those bolts to make it doable again.

Changed the auxiliary drive belt.
A piece of p*ss, less than an hour .... with the right tools.
I'd have been knackered without the two hoooooge spanners and my copper faced mallet for taking the viscous fan off though.
The old belt still has some use in it, so that will become an "emergency get you outta trouble" unit. You never throw an intact belt away.

Finally getting the non starting gremlins........on the TD5.......eventually fired up.

Second time, in a week, both times when facing uphill, when it pointed downhill it was fine, which I checked after it did it the first time.

Have the injector seals and washers being delivered tomorrow as part of an off the road, clean and coat chassis, change injector seals, plus other minor stuff.

Just one more thing to add to the list.....although this one may take a little more investigation.........:):):).

Cheers

And where are the piccies??:eek:

Well after the last time of difficult starting,

Today I checked the fuel pressure at the FPR, straight to 4 Bar.

Am not going to change the injector washers unless the issue repeats itself. buut tomorrow will change the fuel filter plus look at pulling the t box back a bit to replace the intermediate gear O ring.

All good fun.

Cheers

Removed airbags and fitted coil springs after the SLS compressor started playing up again. The one thing that went wrong was that I re-tapped the M10 holes that had been unused for fourteen years, and a tap snapped off in one of them. Took ages with a little grindstone and centre punch to get it to disintegrate. All's well in the end. Had to pay an extra £17 o the insurance for the change but not too bad.
