When I first saw this, I thought the airbag had gone off.
When I park it up when I go away, I cover the dash and seats with cloths and also have stuff from the sun visors. But after 2 years it just sort of deteriorated. But yes it is a bit scary on first walking up to it with all sorts of thoughts.When I first saw this, I thought the airbag had gone off.

Not a hard job to replace the rear brake pipes, i would be best to do the lot from the joints in the left front wheel arch behind the liner all the way back, and new flexies as the fittings will be a bit crusty, on year your year 2000 there are four flexies the caliper ones and two short ones from body to chassisWell, the joy bubble of amazement has burst already. I guessed that it wouldn't last too long with owning a 24 year old and having stood still for so long.
The low brake fluid level light came on just as I got home, luckily I keep some in the back so just topped it up and never really thought much. Went out a bit later and it very quickly came back on again. Pulled over and looked underneath and pressed the brake and it was like a cattle beast relieving itself all over the diff, So guessing that I have a major split/break in the pipe which just happens to be the sod you cant see. This will be one for my new local friendly garagist when I find him as the place I used to use has now closed. Just hope they accept the challenge.

I could not remember if his is a left hooker so said left as in stood facing the bonnet should of made it more clearright wheel arch ?
Nothing on my bus but working on an all original 1996 200tdi fender.
Suspect input and output seals on the gearbox. All the bolts look like they are 5yr old

Thanks, will have to see what's available here now. I used to import my parts from the UK and DIY most things. But due to the local situation nobody ships out he any more as all the courier companies pull out, even the good old royal mail doesn't even do normal post here anymore.Replace the pipe with CUNIC if it's available where you are.
