From personal experience, I would go for a twin axle, less prone to snaking, less variable load on the hitch as it rocks on a single axle and if you have a puncture en-route it will get you home on 3 wheels.
It's possible to get a 3 tonne capacity trailer with a single axle.

Did something similar the other week before the fencing project but I used a heavy strap on the Rhododendrons . the buddleias were less of a problem as they weren't so deeply rooted..I might be tempted to put a blanket on the chain. Might just save your rear window if something lets go.

Isn't that a rope
What like Clarkson with his log brake that went through back window in AfricaI might be tempted to put a blanket on the chain. Might just save your rear window if something lets go.
Saw a steel rope snap down pit many years ago. Hit a poor bloke between the eyes. Fractured his skull whipped one eyeball out and blinded him in other. Right mess it was.Anything that can store energy and let it go. Wire is bad or rope but tree roots are springy and even chain has some elastic movement.
I did worry about that too - but not enough not to have a go. The Budleia was OK - but a tiny thin little Sloe tree hidden in the Budleia broke the rope! Twice! What like Clarkson with his log brake that went through back window in Africa
I have been having some fun pulling fencing posts and wire fencing out too! That was even more like Clarksons log brake...!Did something similar the other week before the fencing project but I used a heavy strap on the Rhododendrons . the buddleias were less of a problem as they weren't so deeply rooted..
Tried any fixes? I managed to get some mini micro switches to work but had to trim down the legs of the upstand slightly.Removed window switch pack from project car, opened it up, removed the front right switch, cleaned the blister & PCB contacts, reassembled now working
Never found the need, the existing switches work fine after the contacts are cleaned.Tried any fixes? I managed to get some mini micro switches to work but had to trim down the legs of the upstand slightly.
It is a real car but much more invested in many waysI know it's boring but..
Got in it...turned the key...drove 90 miles... Did beer...drove home... Took the key out...had more beer...
Just like owning a real car..
