From personal experience, I would go for a twin axle, less prone to snaking, less variable load on the hitch as it rocks on a single axle and if you have a puncture en-route it will get you home on 3 wheels.
It's possible to get a 3 tonne capacity trailer with a single axle:eek:.

The only thing I have against twin axle is if you have to manhandle it around in a tight space it is an utter pain. You have to wind the jockey wheel up until the first axle clears the ground and it is heavy because of the extra axle. Not bad when I was under 50 but post-50 it became hard-work. If there's 2 of you or you have space to manouvre or you're young and strong it isn't an issue. That said, if I was towing a car I'd have twin axle every time.

Removed window switch pack from project car, opened it up, removed the front right switch, cleaned the blister & PCB contacts, reassembled now working :D
Tried any fixes? I managed to get some mini micro switches to work but had to trim down the legs of the upstand slightly.

So, early start today as after being away for six months arrived home yesterday and needed to get the beast out today. Checked all the fluids and a quick visual inspection, right hand front a bit soft but no issue. Battery on Turned the key and as always first crank away it went that lovely V8 growling into action. Left the door and tailgate open while I got out the compressor and put some air in the tyre and then topped off the rest. Now the time for truth, closed the tail gate and hit the wade height level on the suspension leaving the window open closed the door and stood back to watch that beauty of motion lift straight up and off the axel stands to full height perfectly. Big smile on face climbed in reset all the widows and sunroof drove to the nearest fuel station and topped off the tank with 82 litres of 95 for the princely sum of £31 so drove off from the with an even bigger smile. Oh the joys of owning a V8 in Russia.
