Had to go steal it off my parents.
Had just got my bm out of storage thought its cheep to insure and will just stick a policy on it use it save it sitting about.
So left the rr with my parents and trailer so they can use it and 3 days later i hit a badger in the car so poor old range rover never got chance to have a rest

Its quite a simple proceedure buddy if your good on the tools and have time to spare and take your time. Best thing is to make sure 100% you have everything on site and ready laid out before starting the job albeit the most cheapest option would be to change vehicle buddy to an auto. Not ideal as you mentioned you had a lot of time and dosh invested in your current ride but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and take the easiest route.
If you were closer you could swap over with the autobox in my scrapper. That would leave me a spare manual box.
However, I think you would do better looking for an HP24 box out of a 4.6. you'll need new props as well though and the gearbox ECU and maybe even engine ECU as I am fairly certain the auto ECU was slightly different. Obviously there's the different gear-shift too. And then you'll have to chip it to stop it feeling sluggish. All in all, easier to stick with the manual and take up squats and deadlift.

I think that is to tell the BECM to link in the gearbox ECU but cannot remember. Never really worried about auto settings!
Tried (and failed) to rescue an exBootneck who's French plated van had died in a car park. Him and his mate trying to roll it down the car park but he had on a trailer, so I thought I'd offer a jump... that was no dice. So we tried bumping it, to no avail. In the end it appeared to have an electrical fault as he kept losing power. The boss arrived (did I mention I was picking her up from work?) so helped him into a safe place and left them to get recovery. Only when I was half way home it dawned on me I should've checked his battery terminals were secure.
Made their trip to Leeds a lot longer than it was already going to be.
The other users of the car park didn't seem too happy with our shenanigans.

IIRC, Royal Protection, and Ministerial fleet Protection use JLR products. Also, some secret squirrel types. But they rarely roll solo.
Did nothing, fan has arrived but not the rad yet....

Amazingly for somthing that only sits 60mm above the ground bought a new set of coilovers and wisbones and track rods.
So counting myself lucky had it in for 4 wheel aligment today.
