Today was my FIRST legal day out drive in my new L405. Loved it. So smooth and responsive she is and effortless power delivery too. I think the 2 x K&N's have made a difference to how she drives also. She is booked in for service and new rear discs and pads at my specialists on 16th June just prior to our trip up to the midlands to visit family and friends there then across country to Lincoln & Boston area to see more old Army pals before heading off back to Swindon. Should be around 500 miles round trip so will do her good me thinks and i can see just how good she returns her mpg on a long steady run. Filled her up today too from 1/2 full and she took £59 of diesel to the brim. Slowly working through all the buttons etc to see what does what and set things to how i want them. Took some pictures of her on my driveway too prior to taking her out this morning. Thank god it stayed dry all day and she is now back on her lift all cleaned off and ready to go again. LOL. Thinking of having the front and rear lights slightly tinted too.

Cause I've worked all my life until my ticker played up a few years back I only get PIP and Esa. Can't claim any other rebates or benefits at all. I am even having to pay for all my dental treatment I'm having at the moment, it's over £300 quid already . Work hard and do your bit and you get f*ck all when you need it

I understand the P38 and the 322/405 are miles apart.
But…… I love our P38 as much as the 322, and if you hadn’t have been messed around so much you would have too:)

J
Indeed you are 100% correct my friend. My first Westminster TD was an immaculate car once i had worked my magic on it and added all the genuine P38 extra's to it which i had bought in advance but sadly that blew up so strike 1 it was. The second car was a MINT P38 Vogue SE in that lovely red colour and only 74k on the clock. I did the deal on that and paid the deposit at Xmas time but the dealer ( Richard from SM Motors in The Wirrell ) was a sly greedy tosser and sold the car to another chap for more money without telling me and then once i found out he just refunded my deposit. That was strike 2. The 3rd and final car was a Blue Vogue SE from impression automotive ( Ford Mather ) another sly greedy tosser who did the same to me after having my deposit for 3 months. That was the final time for me regarding P38 ownership so i bailed and jumped ship. Buying my L405 was an impulse buy and i am glad i did as she is lovely and a totally different car compared to all 3 models before her. Positive progress i think its called at JLR. LOL.

That's Great Brittain for you mate!!! We f*ck over our own yet give everything to those who have done nowt for it. Blair & labour are to blame as they set the president for this culture when they came to power after John Major who is another **** in my book. Oh Maggie we miss you.

Glad you’ve finally found one you can enjoy to the full. Nothing like the ‘new to me’ RangeRover feel and all the new buttons
Buttons and functions are huge. I am still slowly working through them all. LOL. The only problem with these new cars and all there touch screen tech is they are IMHOP worse than using a mobile phone on the move as it deffo takes your eye off the road when trying to do things which is why i make sure before i drive off i have all i need to keep me occupied so i can keep my eye on the road where they should be. It only takes a split second to kill someone and then its too late and time to buy a big pot of vaseline for when shower time in jail comes. LOL

Not a difficult job then? Not something I’d thought about

The oil-burner near-side is easy as access is wide open. The off-side is a PITA as the turbo is in the way but it can be done. Fortunately the nuts don't do up that tight. The previous mounts were f*cked. Rubber looked OK but they were just flopping about. If you've done over 150k or 25 years then I would suggest doing it.

Well not today but weekend just gone the plan was to finally do the top and bottom rear bushes to sort out a camber issue taking the edge off a tyre but instead I`ve spent a few days in the critical care unit of Johnson ward Lincoln hospital after joining the heart attack and stent club (big thanks to the staff there) so it looks like the jobs on hold again for awhile and now its time for a lay down worn out with one finger typing !

You're in good company. @Dopey has so many stents if he flaps his arms his chest inflates like Pamela Anderson.
