Discovered after changing the diff fluids this week i now have a leak from the rear diff around the OS wheel hub:(:(:(

Rebuilt valve block today on the P38, new o-rings and diaphragm, put it all back together including new driver and normal service is resumed. No more dancing around at the traffic lights and going into off road height when it feels like it, result

Went snd took SWMBO to the gym. Had a play in the snow. Got a loose heat shield and went to EAS FAULT! Stuck in wading mode till I turned it off and on again 5 minutes later. Hopefully it was just water getting in the contacts.

And since coming back to the UK, seems that the OBD socket doesn't like to play anymore. Only found out after trying to put Nanocom to ckear faults gor EAS. Something else to look at tomorrow. :):)

have a look at the 5 amp fuse under the bonnet thats the obd power.
if that dosent work power your nanacom up with a power lead from cigarette lighter and see if that works it.

With it going to wading mode and the OBD socket not playing I'd be looking for corrosion behind the socket and/or in the nearside pillar connectors.

Wonderful! 5amp fuse had blown. Put new 1 in and full communication with Nanocom. Reset eas, calibrated hevac, tested other systems. All running good. :):):):)

Thanks guys.

Went over to my mums bugalow at Kirk Michael in the Isle of Man - as no electricity for four days whilst the village is cut off by the snow (mum is in a nursing home so she is ok) took severable goes to get into the drive but Range Rover did its bit. Masses of snow from the snow plough that managed to get a single lane through the snow to the villlage (north only and no south access yet)

Cleaned the carpets in the beast today. Had a new bissel carpet cleaner. Did the house then did the car. Came up a treat! And no water by the becm. Very accurate and able to control the flow with the machine.

Ripped out the sub, cd changer and Alpine hu. Stuck them on ebay. Found all the wires had been hacked about for the stereo and speakers. Decided to get the whole thing replaced and go aftermarket on everything. Got a good deal on some pioneer equipment:)

Might have a sat nav screen for sale as well. Going to do something with that as well.

Oh! And tge cruise is working! Just no light on the switch :D:D:D

all of it !!
with detailed description of all the process :D:D:D

Well there won't be much to see from the speakers. Managed to get some that fit in the lower casings. Nice 2 ways with separate tweeters. Can have the same in the back but deciding if to mask the tweeters into the B post, or leave them off completely. If I can get a deal on the 4 way amp, might consider fitting that where the original DSP was.

couldnt have you kept the original speakers ? and used crossovers ?

or dont you have the HK system ?

I could've done it that way, yes. But I got the component kit for less than £50. And the bass/mid speakers fit direct into the plastic pods.

And yes. Its the full HK system. But like I said, the po had a Sony hu and it was all hacked about behind the dash and along the loom to the dsp.
