As I said, in the past, Arnott had a batch of badly crimped bags, My guess is that Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr has managed to get some old stock.
Just the man I wanted to see. Everyone seems to think EAS suite is easier to use than the EAS function on the Nanocom. Can I use the cable from the Nano in my laptop? I have a USB to RS232 connector lying about somewhere.

Sorry, I have no idea. The OBD connector end will be OK but the Nanocom end is likely to be different. The EAS suite is certainly better than the Faultmate or Nanocom IMO for EAS work. I can supply the correct cable if needed.

I'm gonna need one anyway. How much?

I find nanocom easy for eas. Not used eas suite so can't compare but don't see any reason why it would be better.

Them lights aren't factory fitted are they? look like he added them on

Buggered, arse, yours, where are you going with this @Grrrrrr ..
Maybe a bad batch of bags...

Must have been. Shifted 500kg of compost this morning with no issues. I think it would be fair to say I am somewhat disappointed. Still, if it was just a few bad ones then maybe a decent one will set me up for the next ten years. The left-hand rear is Arnott at the moment and performing fine. I am trying to make my mind up if tge Arnotts are bouncier, maybe on the high setting? Might be in my head.

Can you remember when that was? The date on the box and bad was 22/7/2019, iirc.

SRS light came on today with airbag fault on dash. Not had that before. Connector under the seat suffering from damp? We had a frost last night and car had lots of condensation this morning.

I have decided to part company with my P38 work horse

MOT till May 28 2020,
Just under 120,000miles on the clock
4.0V8,
Automatic,
drives great, used daily.
Recent new General Grabbers on new modular steels
Recent mid pipe and rear boxes
Air suspension, Hi/Low box and Sport button all work as it should.

Now the bad
als5.gif

It's an 18year old P38 after all

Cruise control N/F

Roof lining sagging

O/S rear brake squeals... But only when driving in traffic???

Small crack in the windscreen

Heated screen only works on the drivers side (luckily)

Cosmetic scratches, dings, lifting trim and some bubbling on the N/S front wing

The most annoying issue is an intermittent fault with the central locking which means getting in can be tricky which is I believe a problem with the micro switch in the drivers door lock interfacing with a known common fault that P38s have had from day one.

Anyway...

No longer a luxo barge but a great comfy V8 hack/work horse for someone who wants to do the tip run in a leather arm chair

Or a base for a V8 monster project

Based in Gillingham Medway

Collection only, available now

£750 ono

Nanocom diagnostic computer available for £250 (they're £480 new)

Message me (Neal) to arrange a viewing. I'm available most weekends

Thought you were going 4.4 Jag engine?

Changed air and fuel filters, ran the engine for a bit to warm up the oil before changing engine oil and filter. Went to take off the filter cap with the brand new 36mm socket I got from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Anyone see the problem here?

Yea its crap.... Halfords is a great place for quality tools, its about the only thing they do that is good
My socket set is one of those Halfords Advanced Pro 200 piece jobbies. It's good as gold.

The socket from Amazon is a Sealey, so not Bahco but not made of plasticine either.
