True, but the 5.0 is 200hp more, im not going to do a LOT of mileage, so its not going to cost me lots more

Removed battery to put on charge as it's been sat for a fortnight and won't start. Tomorrow I have plans as long as it doesn't monsoon down.

On the subject of batteries, would this be suitable for a 2000 2.5 DSE?

The post are in the wrong place your leads will not reach and there are more AH higher CCA ones out there for less money look at the mf31 range 120ah 1000cca.
