I replaced the blow mould case, although that's not under warrantee, but they gave it to me for free anyway, built my SeriesII striped it down, with the small set, great tool set

SRS light came on today with airbag fault on dash. Not had that before. Connector under the seat suffering from damp? We had a frost last night and car had lots of condensation this morning.
Do you not keep the aircon on? Condensation in a P38 is a death sentence. The aircon dehumidifies and so keeps things nice and dry as long as there are no major leaks.

Oil and filter change. Did it the lazy way by sucking the oil out. Now trying to save £150 by fixing the drivers seat trim where the switches are as it's in about 3 pieces.

Bit more than me then, think I got about 8.

4.4 TDV8? it was at max before on the level, drained it until it sucked air. Put 9 ltrs in and it is only at the halfway mark.
I do like the filter housing though, nice and easy, I even reset the service interval.

Cheers

Haven't been using it since the first replacement airbag let go. But just noticed a damp patch in the passenger footwell and when i drove back this evening the condensation was unbelievable. So I think I have a leak! It never rains but it pours ...

Always pays to keep the aircon on with all the electronics, especially in winter. dry electronics are reliable electronics.

Yes, couldn't agree more. Now the car is the first one on the drive it'll be used daily again. Swapping the cars over is too much hassle!

Now I'm really confused 1: because I wouldn't have classed steering wheel, as a dash panel, and, 2: because the bits mentioned don't 'feel', rubbery, to me. I wouldn't say plastic, but closer to plastic than rubber. With exception of steering wheel, which feels 'leatherish'.
I wonder if that's why @holidaychicken got a rash. I could've sworn that suit was leather ;)
I don't think it was the material that caused the rash but the fact I acquired the suit after I removed from one of the bodies after @tomcat59alan 's last specialist 'pool party'

The bottom line is Land Rover wanted a satin soft finish but got an inconsistent self recovering rubber that was bonded to smooth finish plastic parts. My advice, if it looks good leave it, if it starts to peel just scrape it off or pay for aftermarket cover parts like piano black. - That is the same reason and advice I give regarding the wearing of a rubber suit ;)

Yeah when it breaks it's life is over. :D:D
To be fair to Halfords, the few tools I have broken have been replaced on the spot. Only one item needed ordering in because they had none in stock. And I use my tools daily... the tools that broke did so because I abused them, but shhhh

Ah but you did enjoy yourself. :):D

SRS warning light is open circuit. Weird that as the SRS is lit up on red on the dash?!
