Think I've sorted it now he was hitting the spanner attached to the nut and also hammering the nut with a lever bar as I'm sure people know its needs to be a long punch or somthing straitened the curve of the pry bar will miss direct he force of the blow as it has a curve on the end of the bar if it can't come of I pop over for him at some point .
 
Ok been over to day,got fan off normal thread,fitted water pump bleed system all seems well nice fella nice car :)
