I'm not very good with the diesel.... but are these the figures we're looking for?

I copied this guy. But you're right. I didn't use my common sense to question it:

Go to 4:23 onwards.

50 seems a lot to me. I don't have a doozle but I can't see reference to that much torque anywhere....? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing? Spent some time today helping torque down @Grrrrrr 's head bolts and that's terrifying enough! In, out, 80NM, 90 degrees, undo them all, 50NM, 90, 90 again! It's like one of those Japanese puzzles...

Someone should mention it on his video in the comments!

Anyhoo, enough of this, did you get the stub out!!!????

It takes 24h I think for the putty to set so I'll try tomorrow. I won't work but I just need to prove it to myself. I'll spray some penetrative oil on iif not then hopefully I can find someone to help weld a nut on it, Monday. Anyone near me in Ryton with a wielder?

I don't know how much room you've got, but might you get a drill and one of those Irwin Stud Extractor tools in there? I've had some success with them. A welded nut is better though!

Yeah I've got one of those mini screwdriver drills & a screw extractor set, but like you say the room to get in is very tight. The extractor sets are double ended too which makes it longer. I could cut one un half and see if it'll fit 🤔

If you get to that point on the video there ia a box that pops up in the top right hand side with what looks like a correction made to 23nm🤔
There is at the start but I can't see where he corrects the error to 23nm. Where in the video does he put the correction?

Still seems high to me. I woulda guessed around 15, book seems to suggest 10, but there’s no actual torque for the idlers from what I can see. As long as it dont come out it just needs to be snug. I’ve never heard of one rattling off

Notice the fan to coupling bolts (not rivets)

Anything attached to that ally head you just tease tight using your fingertips. It is as soft as cheese. The block is more solid but still don't put your weight on it.
