I have a transfer box in the garage and the handbrake assembly I could photograph tomorrow, maybe, everything is such an effort at the moment.
It would be easier for me to photograph in the garage .

Rermove propshaft,and thecountersunk screw holding the brake drum, remove drum and you will see four bolts that hold the back plate in position,remove these and the back plate will swing out of the way with the cable still attached

do you know an one with a hydraulic motor cycle lift it works very well in the transfer box with a bit of old work top and a block paver it hold the box at the right angle

No, mate, I don't. I have several trolley jacks. It does look a useful bit of kit. I'll put it on my watch list as Enfield isn't so far away from me.
theres no gasket or sealant between the 2 or shouldnt beRefurbed box ordered from Ashcrofts. Anything else I need to replace in there while I am doing it? Guessing there is a gasket of some sort between the the transfer box and main box? I seem to remember a seal at the back of the handbrake drum somewhere, unless my memory is playing up again. That'll be on the output shaft, I guess. Damn my memory is getting bad.
That's what I thought and for that money worth a go even if you only ever use it once worth every penny, fortunately I can borrow one any time or else I would be going for it.

I'll have to get myself fit again. I used to be able to pick most of this stuff up. I just don't have time to tab over hills with bricks on my back anymore: all I seem to do is work and fix things most of the time.

never used it, used a trolley Jack when the clutch roll pins went, it was fun balancing the t/box.the time before that was when the clutch went in France managed it without a Jack, never again that t/box weighs 112 lbs.Works well? Or this might be more stable?
