He got it running.

With jerry-cans, and the engine's not bolted in properly, and there's no radiator and everything!!

Woh woh woh the engine is bolted in ....
Although it was started with tubs, some off cuts if wire and a battery box :p
 
Is this kind of extension legal ?

The metal part you see is welded to the outrigger and then a saddle is placed over the top, there will be another hole drilled through the extension and the bulkhead and tubed for strength and then the saddle attached using this bolt ?
 
This is what the whitbread website shows but this looks ****e to me


Mine would have the side plates but also extra strengthening
