Ican get the mounts sorted now :D
2weeks ... :p

700 for a comp spec isnt bad. is that just the flat pack tho?:

Time to fit and all the 1/4 plate required to make it work and be legal takes all the time.
Just had a ex camel trophy 110 in for me to quote, the sd cage had mounting points made of 3mm plate:eek: and one vertical tube had been cut wrong and tacked back together where you cant see:eek::eek:
the owner was shocked

3mm is all AWDC Regs require. 6mm is ALRC clubs. As for the mis welding aka possibly done in the field at the event if its a genuine team motor or a landrover screw up both seem quite plausable.

Should be a Saftey Devices cage as std depending on age should be bolt in version??? I know a few people sold them as they were making good money and replacing them for half the cost of the s/h SD cage with bettaweld cages fitted themselves with varying results.

EDIT: My argument is is you make it 1/4 plate aka 6mm ish to comply with ALRC regs then your set to take part in ALL events and its always better to be over specc'd when at the scruteneering bay. AWDC / Fia racers will argue the weight issue and thats great but me I like to see 6mm plate personally

It wasnt a field repair it was dirty fitting. I could have rolled up the bracket with my bare hands, and was a support bracket not a fixing plate
I prefer 6mm as I believe material thin enough to bend with a hand folder (or your bare hands isnt going to withstand a high joule impact secondly a ct110 going at 3ton needs more than regs based around a trialler.

Main hoop goes to main chassis rails?? Welded to a 6 mm spreader plate then bolted to another chassis spreader plate or welded directly to the chassis depending on how you want to do it asking as it is an approved design. Will check now you got me thinking. the centreline of the rear hoop should be no greater than 250mm from rear of crash helmet/head when fitted.

Title

6mm angle to form a u section over chassis rails, 3 6mm sheet to make the same thing, or inverted angle to make a T to bolt to, depends what you want.

heres a pic of one, its a trayback I built last year(not the build I posted on here
you can kinda see
