It would seem that you are well covered against any kind of trouble with the finance company.

Just keep leaning on them until they sort it out !!!!!:D

DanDaz .... if perchance you should be the owner of an ex-council house then check the deeds. A lot of them have a clause that states you cannot keep a caravan to the fron of the property. If that is the case then all you have to do is notify the council that you are in breach of covenant, get an enforcement letter from them and then show the letter to your neighbours. that way your not the bad man, the council is.

caravan gets moved, your still on good terms with your neighbours. everyones a winner.

If the property is ex-local authority then they wont get involved.

It may very well state in the deeds that you cant park a caravan on your property, but to be frank, it no longer holds water, Even on new housing estates where the builder writes it in as a clause in the deeds the maximum time they can enforce the clause is now limited by law to 10 years.

It all goes back to the late 1700's, An Englisnman's home is his castle, and all that stuff i had to study !!!!!:D

Thanks very much Rets,
I'll be on the phone to them first thing Mon "suggesting" that they clear the HPI record, so that I can proceed with the sale. Then its up to them to pursue the debt.

Thanks again for your help.

I didn't realise there was a limitation on covenants .... interesting. According to the covenants on my place I can't build a brick wall out the front.

Off to buy some bricks now!
