I see miss Whiplash lent you her HD nipple clamps LOLZ

My box section turned up today, but it's raining otherwise I'd go out there and chop it about a bit.

Did you order the Bonda Primer?

If Chris's motor is anything to go by it seems to be a good choice.

Not a good day today.
Shot blaster kept blocking..... combination of grit size too large for nozzle and damp in media.
6 hours later and this is all I have to show for it :(.

decided to remove a section of strengthening plate....... Not a good idea - there must be at least half a dozen spot welds in a very small area. cant use a chisel as the bulkhead is thinner than the strengthening plate. May need to all be ground away

To dry media use baking trays 2" deep and bake in a preheated oven on gas mark 6 (200°C) for 30 minutes or until golden brown, serve with tea and a bacon roll :p:D

Yep, and I only managed a small fire this time around :)

I'm positive that we can get the sill in properly next and then we're free to get that foot well and bulkhead strengthening plate welded up and then rebuild that whole corner of the bulkhead.

Not sure you'll be able to get under the floor easily but be sure to clean up and prepare the under side of that long weld, the steel will rust real quick after being heated like that ;)

Did you find a P38 to gut the back end out of?

i didnt notice :)

No probs getting under the floor and it cleaned up pretty well - Pics to follow. I could see a couple of small pinholes and one larger one at the back (see below).

Havent tried looking for a scrap P38 yet - dont need it for a week or 2 :D

Christ on a bike, what did you grind that back with? A mill stone

Lump of copper to the rescue on the big hole and the pin pricks should spot and done ;)

Does look better though :)

Here is a few more pics from underneath. I reckon its come up pretty well :). All now kurusted as a temporary measure. If we were to planish it top and bottom, it will hardly show :D
