A wipe of seam sealer over the joint and it will be as near as dammit invisible. Just needs a few gentle taps to flatten a couple of bumps out :).

sign of things to come???

thats wot i like.... a man that wont take no for an answer :)

I've gotta stick it all together, prepare for some down hill MIG with medium power and higher than average wire speed, panels don't need much heat or penetration, especially with that gap, but I will need to manipulate a molten puddle in a way that it flows and encapsulates the edges, chills on the back side while maintaining travel without blowing through.

Might be some rough welds in the beginning lol

Good job we got that big azz copper friend handy ;)

tried aligning it today ..... all the panels aligned in several, but not all places. I also think the inner A post panel might need modding too. will show yu on Fri.

Thorough

Just to confirm - I think I asked you before - when you are welding in floor panel and with box section as sill, is it simply single skin laid over the box and spot welded down flush with the box? Sorry to hijack, I just know you know!
My existing floor has rust trap angled
welded flush to the box then an overlapped floor which I think must be a previous owner bodge which i would rather chop out.

single skin laid over the box and puddle welded down flush on to the box. also seam weld outside/inside edge. we might just seam seal the inner edge.

Better day today.
Took measurements from offside and lined up bulkhead side panels to those and it looks a lot better. Still doesn’t line up at the front of the bulkhead, but might do with a little “persuasion “ ;)

A few pics from today........ its getting a tad chilly out there

Removal of a section if Bulkhead strengthening plate to fix the crack and strengthen the panel. Noticeably rusty between plate and bulkhead.

Welds cleaned up on floor inside and out ;)

NS seat belt mount - I think the welding needs to be a bit closer .

A post confusion. Trying to line up the door seal shaping and the bottom of the A post repair is not possible. May need to re-assess on Friday.
