It will move very slowly. Depends how long your breaker bar is. Try putting some force into it up till your full weight. Just keep it on there and it should slowly turn. handbrake on, gearbox in neutral?

Did not put it in neutral silly me let's hope it does spin bc I would rather it be something less expensive to replace... I will check that as well later if it still doesn't move I will remove the front shaft hehe and see if it still jerks

dont forget to remove the rear as well afterwards. The problem could be in one the axles!!

It is definitely seized did just like in the video and still wouldn't move it's raining today so I will have to wait on taking the shaft off

It does indeed sound like your VCU is seized. Part number you need is RTC6044. New they will be expensive, you may be able to get a reconditioned or second hand one for less money. I suggest you remove the front prop shaft and apply 15-20 lb ft torque direct to the front drive flange of the transfer box, the VCU should turn 90 degrees in a minute or so. If it still does not move, drive with front prop removed until you find a replacement for the VCU. For the swaying check the front radius arm bushes for movement. Good luck.
Alright it says that's for a p38 is there any difference between the P38 and the classic?

Well I've been reading would it be possible to put a lt230 tc in my 1995 classic from a 2000 disco 2 if I got the ebrake assembly and the other high low selector assembly (don't know what that's called) and the front propshaft from it. I have a guy I know that has one that doesn't run and I may be able to get it out of it it only has 100k on it but it would be a ton cheaper then buying the viscous coupling for mine.

a disco 1 t/box is what you want with chassis mounts too

Ok so I disconnected the front driveshaft and its still jerking the same as before. Unfortunately I am running out of daylight so im gonna put the front back on and take the rear off tomorrow and see if it does anything

Why bother if it is not the viscous coupling?
You don't have pull apart in Europe? I will probably wait a bit for that but it is seized and needs replacing if your familiar with paul grant he said he could get me a full Borg Warner tc with 86k on it for 300 usd so I may go that route not sure yet... I think I'm just gonna try and get a go pro or something underneath to see if I can see something moving. It jerks so bad that I should be able to clearly see something moving around. I just hope it's not something to expensive lol

If it is swaying when power is applied or let off, one of or both the axles are moving out of line simple as that. You need to get looking. For the seized VCU, just remove front prop until you get a new one.

Alright front prop is removed and I will see what I can find

when you said your tyres were worn out! How are they worn?
front or rear?
Ok so when I bought it like 2 years ago the barely jerked at all like maybe 2 inchs when you let off and accelerated I thought maybe it was something with the tires so i replaced them the problem was still there now two years later ive done maybe 7k miles or so on them and the left hand side both front and rear tires are wore out that the inside half (closes to the vehicle) is more than the outside half is. The front it more wore like that then the rear is. The rear is almost not noticeable but the front are clearly wore uneven. The right hand side has even tread wear. Its time for new tires on it as they are at the 100 or so miles left until unsafe imo. But I would really like to fix the swaying bc of how bad it is now I dont want to spend 600 on good tires for them to wear out uneven.
